Hi Friends,
It’s Pride Month, and in true X. D. fashion, I’m here to both celebrate and introduce a bit of chaos and negativity.
I was watching an episode of Chuck and Claude’s podcast featuring Erica Campbell, and Erica said something super poignant. She mentioned that love shouldn’t come with your fists up, and I thought, “Wow, I wish gay/queer folks knew this.” I often see online conversations about how men in our community are described as “mean,” “nasty,” or having an off-putting disposition, often mirroring some reality television character they’re trying to emulate. This behavior is cited as a deterrent to dating them. While I agree to an extent, it’s interesting to watch it unfold in real time. So, I brought in my friend, digital icon, and music aficionado LeTroy Davis to help navigate those murky waters in another episode of Pop The Balloon!
