Now to the meat of it all—pause.
There always seems to be a collective groan when Black folks see someone, regardless of gender, in a romantic relationship with someone who is not Black. There’s always this “well I don’t care who you they date” when ultimately—that’s a bit of a lie. However, I am interested in this idea of interracial dating as it pertains to *us*. So, I brought along my dear friend Professor of Sociology, Dr. Terrell Winder, to help me unpack some of these biases, tropes, skeletons, and more when it comes to Black Gay (or queer) people who date outside of their race. This is a meaty and extremely insightful conversation so I present it to you with limited interruption.
